Hello Sweetness,
Routines are for robots – I’ve always believed thais. So boring, I’m embarrased to be writing to you about this. But here we are, trying to find peace with my nemesis.
I can’t do the same thing the same way twice. I adore serendipitous moments. Ask anyone to describe me – random is in the first 5 words.
Just make a habit of it, write it down, alarms… blah de blah none of it has worked for me. Because that simply isn’t all of it.
The reality is you need a sense of safety and stability to put those things in place. You need the headspace, the trust in yourself to make it happen. WE don’t all have that – the situation doesn’t allow it Our focus doesn’t.
But now I do have a choice to prioritise some routine making. I can slow down and focus enough on myself to put some things in place. And I do so in the hope that it will make things better – that it may add some more bandwidth to my day. That they can sustain me in doing more of the stuff I love.
Yours hopefully,
A.
